Westbourne Guest House offers family run accommodation in a peaceful area of Bowness, just a short walk from Lake Windermere.
To the front of the building, colourful gardens make the perfect setting in which to sip cool drinks on hot summer days and take in the tranquil surroundings.
The accommodation is conveniently located close to the shops and many sporting facilities in Bowness-on-Windermere.
With good road connections to the rest of Cumbria and the motorway network, Bowness-on-Windermere is an excellent location from which to explore the English Lake District.
Your hosts, Amanda and Howard, will be on hand to offer tourist information and local advice.

With a good selection of restaurants available in the locality, guests will have a wide choice of lunchtime and evening dining options.
There is a comfortable Bar Lounge at the guest house, in which guests can choose from a wide selection of drinks.
This cosy room is warmed by the log fire on chilly winter evenings.
Location
Westbourne Guest House is situated in a quiet area of Bowness-on-Windermere on Biskey Howe Road, close to the Tourist Information Centre and Bowness Bay on Lake Windermere.
Both Bowness and Windermere are located in the centre of the English Lake District and have very good road connections to the rest of Cumbria and the motorway network.
Guests arriving from the South should leave the M6 motorway at Junction 36 and join the A5990 road, then the A591.
Follow the A591 road to Windermere.
Guests travelling from the North should leave the M6 at Junction 39 and folow the A6 road to Kendal until it joins with the A591 road.
Follow the A591 road to Windermere.
Leisure
Westbourne Guest House is only a 2 minute walk from a local beauty spot 'Biskey Howe'.
From the high ground at Biskey Howe, you can look over virtually all of Lake Windermere and the surrounding mountains.
Bowness is an excellent location for touring the whole of the English Lake District.
Bowness-on-Windermere Tourist Information Centre is within easy reach of the Guest House.

Bed and Breakfast per person per night:
- £30.00 to £42.00 Double Occupancy
- £35.00 to £48.00 Single Occupancy
Bank Holiday breaks of three nights or more are available from £35.00 to £42.00 per person, per night.
Prices are dependent on time of year, length of stay and choice of room.
Please ask for details if you would like flowers or a bottle of Champagne or wine in your room on arrival.
