Whether visiting York on holiday or on business, The Heathers offers an ideal location for your accommodation, north of the city.
The guest house is a short drive or walk from Bootham Bar and the City Walls, with the added bonus of easy access to the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales.
A large 1930's detached property, the building is set well back from the A19 York to Thirsk road.
A FREE Guided Walking tour of York is available for guests, a great way to appreciate the historic city of York.
With the benefit of large gardens, The Heathers also offers private off street parking which is GUARANTEED for all guests.
Accommodation
AA Four Star Accommodation.
Rooms at the front of the house overlook Shipton Road, with meadowland, cricket and rugby pitches beyond. At the rear lies a large peaceful garden.
All bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, with designer fabrics and individually selected bed linen. The eye for detail, comfort and quality will ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in every room - experiment with new flavours using the range of tea blends provided. All bedrooms also have:

All rooms have either en-suite or private facilities.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room.
There are some excellent restaurants nearby to suit varying budgets - the house's own recommendations come free.
Location
The Heathers is easily located - from which ever direction you approach York - and the famous City Walls are approximately one mile away.
The guest house can be found half-way between the A1237 and the city centre - on the A19 York to Thirsk road.
For those visiting the centre [which is largely pedestrianised] the A19 has two car parks just outside the City Walls. Alternatively guests are allowed to leave their car in The Heathers car park and walk, take a taxi, or a bus.
There is a bus stop some 350 yards from the guest house - the bus service into York passes by approximately every 10 minutes.
A large 'Park and Ride' site is located a mile from The Heathers Guest House.
Leisure
Nearby, Clifton Moor supplies Multi-Screen Cinemas, Health and Fitness Facilities and a Ten-Pin Bowling Alley.
For those not left too tired by visiting York's many attractions, there are also a number of theatre/concert venues offering a wide choice of entertainment throughout the year.
The many leisure attractions within easy reach include Castle Howard and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Easy access to the areas north of York - from Harrogate in the west, to Malton and Scarborough in the east - allows the best possible use of your holiday or business time.

This is a totally non smoking guest house. 
Each room contains the AA Guide to York - a useful aid for holiday visitors. For business visitors the close proximity to the Clifton Moor Retail and Business Park is a major advantage.
Children under 10 years not accepted.
