General Details
This 17th Century Farmhouse stands in 20 acres of land and offers high quality, spacious accommodation.
For relaxation, there is a bar and a cosy lounge which has a superb view of Breedon Hill.
Guests with laptop computers can take advantage of free 'Wifi' Wireless Broadband Internet Access throughout the main building (broadband connection also available in Stable Suite and Orchard Cottage).
Accommodation
Bedrooms are furnished in a country style and all have private en-suite facilities.
Some bedrooms are in the main hotel and other rooms are located in the Stable Suite and Orchard Cottage Annexe.
The annexe buildings have a separate car park and are only 150 yards from the main hotel arranged around a central courtyard.
Food and Drink
Every morning, an excellent selection including a full Farmhouse Breakfast is served.
The hotel's dining room is open to residents and their guests for home-made suppers each evening.
The bar, which has a log fire in the winter, serves Real Ale.
Conference and Function Facilities
The hotel is able to cater for social events such as weddings, barbecues and barn dances, and small business meetings and conferences.
The Dining Room can be used for meetings during weekdays and the Residents Lounge can be used as a syndicate room. These rooms are suitable for 4 - 14 people.
The Hitching Room, in the Barn Annexe, has been refurbished and can hold up to 50 delegates Theatre style or 18 as a Board Room. It has its own entrance, toilets and heating. Lunch is usually taken in the hotel.
In addition, Park Farm Barn, the original brick and timber barn, is available for hire and is ideal for weddings, barbecues and barn dances. It is suitable for parties of 70 to 250 people, depending on the style of the occasion.
Location
Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel is very easy to find as it is next to the Competitors' entrance to Donington Park.
It is also just 2½ miles away from East Midlands Airport, making this an ideal place to leave your car when departing for a holiday overseas.
Direction Note:
If using the M1 from the North take EXIT 24 - you cannot get off at 23A or the A42 until Ashby de la Zouch!
