Built over 200 years ago, Notley House was at one time, one of several private schools in the Hucclecote area.

In 1987 the house was lovingly restored to bring back some of its original charm, with oak-beamed ceilings and a homely cottage-style appearance.

Within the grounds of Notley House is a superbly converted 2 storey Coach House, with private access from the rear car park. This is available for self-catering or for bed and breakfast.

The Coach House is ideally located for the city centre and railway station, both about 10 minutes away.

The M5 main trunk route passes by the eastern side of the city and the airport is one junction away.

Cheltenham and the Cotswolds can easily be explored using this as a base for touring the region.

Leisure

Gloucester has a restored Victorian dock area housing many museums including the National Waterways Museum and the Robert Opie Packaging Museum. Gloucester Cathedral is one of the most beautiful in England and has some stunning architecture.

To the east lies Cheltenham, famous for being a spa town and its royal connections. It also boasts a fine array of antique shops, fashion houses, wine bars and restaurants. Museums in Cheltenham include the Holst Birthplace Museum and the Pittville Pump Museum. The Art Gallery has an internationally reknowned collection of furniture and silver.

South west of Gloucester is St Augustine's Farm at Arlingham. This working farm is a delight for children, who can help to feed the animals, watch the milking and enjoy the play area.
