Located on a working pasture farm, this interesting mid-18th century farmhouse has great character and enjoys an outstanding position.

Collon Barton is situated in rolling countryside and has stunning views over the creek side village of Lerryn.

Lerryn is just a 5 minute walk away along the farm lane.

Guests may use the elegant sitting room, which takes maximum advantage of the views and has a large open fireplace.

The twin bedded room has an en-suite shower and toilet, with wash basin in the bedroom.

The double bedded room has an en-suite bath with shower over and toilet, with wash basin in the bedroom.

Comfortable and spacious, each room has a colour television, with coffee and tea making facilities.

Both bedrooms are located on the top floor of the house.

A full English breakfast is available, as well as locally produced kippers.  Breakfast is served in the farmhouse kitchen, which features the largest single slate table you are ever likely to see!

For other meals there is a wide variety of excellent restaurants, hotels and pubs serving food in the local area.

Within walking distance, the village of Lerryn has a good pub with a restaurant and a shop.

Collon Barton is about ½ a mile up a farm lane to the north of Lerryn.

Lostwithiel is a short drive away and St Austell is easily reached from there, via the main A390 road.

Directions by road:

From Plymouth take the A38 then A390 west towards Lostwithiel.  Just before Lostwithiel pass Downend Garage on the left hand side then take the first left, signed Lerryn.  Turn left at the first crossroads, drive for about 2½ miles.  As you go down hill towards the village of Lerryn - before the bridge! - turn left signed Couch's Mill and Liskeard.  After 70 metres bear left again, into a cul-de-sac and the farm lane leads up the hill from the top right hand side.

There are lovely riverside walks in this locality, which can start from the front door of Collon Barton farmhouse.

The choice of circular routes have varying length and difficulty, all pass through unspoilt Cornish countryside.

The Cornish Riviera resorts of Fowey, Looe and Polperro are all about 20 minutes drive away, as are The Eden Project and Lanhydrock.

Many other gardens, important houses and attractions are within easy reach - the little riverside church of St Winnow is only 5 minutes away and is not to be missed!
