This family run hotel near Newquay has a peaceful setting by the sea, overlooking Crantock Beach.

Crantock is a traditional Cornish countryside village about 5 miles from Newquay.

Completely refurbished in early 2005, the Fairbank Hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodation.

Each of the 14 bedrooms has:

There is a choice of four-poster, double, twin, single or family rooms at the hotel, including one newly created suite.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the glorious Crantock Beach, with its magnificent expanse of golden sands.

Whilst separated from the general bustle of the renowned Newquay and Fistral Beach by the tidal waters of the Gannel, the Fairbank Hotel is still within a 5 mile drive.

However, they can also be easily reached along the Coastal footpath using either one of the small footbridges to cross the estuary, depending upon the state of the tide or, by seasonal small row-boat ferry.

Crantock Beach stretches from the rock pools beneath the West Pentire headland to the tidal estuary of the Gannel.

The safe, lifeguard patrolled beach is ideal for surfing and swimming or just lazily relaxing to the sounds of the Atlantic Ocean waves.

Other local visitor attractions include art and craft shops, a tea garden, restaurant and a choice of 3 public houses.

The hotel is near the South West Coastal Path.

A short distance around the West Pentire headland, discover a delightful little cove known as Porth [or Polly].

Other Cornish attractions such as the Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many others are all within easy reach of Crantock.

For keen golfers, there are eight 18-hole golf courses within close proximity and, for cyclists, the Camel trail is also nearby.

Crantock features an ancient church dating back to the 12th Century, thatched cottages and surrounding National Trust land to wander through.

All bedrooms at Fairbank Hotel are located on the first and second floors - there is no lift but assistance is always available.
