This comfortable and friendly guest house is a short walk from Taunton town centre.

Easy to find, the accommodation is conveniently located for visitors on a business trip, short break, or holiday.

There is a large private car park (with 17 spaces) to the rear of the building, plus a further 3 spaces on the guest house forecourt.

Lowdens House is only a short walk from Musgrove Park Hospital, Somerset College of Art and Technology, Kings College, Queens School or Taunton School.

The guest house is centrally heated throughout and has a choice of accommodation, from single, twin and double rooms to family rooms with up to four single beds.

All bedrooms have been recently decorated and have en-suite facilities with shower, toilet and wash basin.

Each room has a TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Hair dryers and ironing facilities available on request.

At breakfast time, guests can enjoy a traditional full English breakfast or select from a range of fruit and cereals.

There is an excellent choice of pubs serving food and restaurants in Taunton, and Lowdens House can provide directions or book restaurant tables for guests.

Lowdens House is only a few minutes walk from Taunton's bus and railway stations, the town centre and the County Courts. Directions by road are available on request.

Taunton is a historic town with a fascinating history, and as the 'Gateway to the West Country' it offers a wide variety of attractions. The town has a rugby club, a leisure centre, golf courses, a castle, the Brewhouse Theatre and a cinema.

Discover the history of the Somerset Light Infantry at the Somerset County Museum, where exhibits include toys and dolls, fossils, fine silver and pottery, and a rich collection of archaeological items.

Taunton is the home of the Somerset County Cricket Club, located on the banks of the River Tone next door to the impressive churches of St Mary Magdalene and St Mary's. The picturesque cricket ground is lined with lime trees and has glorious views of the scenic countryside and rolling hills in the distance.

Taunton Racecourse is the youngest race course in Britain and one of the most beautifully located courses in the country, with outstanding views across the racecourse to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills.
