Braeside Guest House offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the traditional English village of Risley.

Originally part of the Risley Hall Estate the property is now part of a conservation area, with the cities of Derby and Nottingham nearby.

The proprietors, Martin and Lisa Grundy, look forward to welcoming guests and make every effort to offer the highest levels of quality and service.

Accommodation at Braeside has been awarded with four diamonds by the AA and the English Tourism Council [ETC].

This is also an ideal base from which to explore the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District National Park.

Located a short distance from the A52, this B&B is just two minutes drive from junction 25 of the M1 and it is also convenient for Nottingham East Midlands Airport, or Donington Race Circuit.

Guests can explore the grounds and countryside around the house, including a large meadow which is home to an array of wildlife throughout the year.

Braeside offers the perfect alternative accommodation for wedding guests attending a ceremony or evening reception at Risley Hall Hotel, a five minute walk away.

Visitors to the function rooms of the Risley Park Public House will find this accommodation ideal, only a few hundred yards away.

Braeside is comprised of two parts - a central cottage in which breakfast is served, and a series of converted outbuildings which are adjacent to the main cottage.

The accommodation offers guests individual rooms from which they can come and go at their leisure, at any time.

There are four double rooms and two twin rooms available, providing modern accommodation with character - bedrooms have original internal wooden beams.

Rooms 1 and 2 feature patio doors that open onto a sun terrace.

All rooms have double glazing and feature full central heating - this is comfortable and warm accommodation at any time of year.

Each room is equipped with:

• En-suite facilities [with shower, toilet and wash basin]
• Colour television with remote control
• Hairdryer
• Tea and coffee making facilities

Some bedrooms feature views of the surrounding countryside.

Guests can choose from a varied breakfast menu, which typically includes:

• Fruit Juice and Tea or Coffee
• Selection of fresh fruit
• Cereals, Toast and Preserves

... Followed by a choice of full English breakfast [bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, baked beans and fried bread], or Continental-style breakfast.

Smoked Haddock with Scrambled Egg is a further breakfast option, subject to availability.

Breakfast is served every morning in the heated conservatory from 7:00 until 9:00 - alternative breakfast times can be arranged.

Special dietary requirements are catered for whenever possible by prior arrangement.

The nearby Risley Hall Hotel and the Risley Park Public House offer lunch and evening meals, with extensive menus.

This accommodation is located in 'greenbelt' countryside just off the A52, in-between Nottingham and Derby. The village of Risley is approximately 8 miles east of Derby, and 9 miles west of Nottingham.

Leicester is approximately 25 miles away and Risley's proximity to the motorway [only 1 mile from junction 25 of the M1] makes Braeside an ideal place to stay for visits to the surrounding cities or countryside.

The borders of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire meet nearby.

Although it is very close to motorways and nearby cities, Risley benefits from a countryside location and a number of local footpaths can be used to explore the area.

There are many tourist attractions slightly further afield, including Chatsworth House and Dovedale, known as 'The Gateway to the Peak District'.

Nottingham, Derby and Leicester all have popular tourist attractions, including Nottingham's Robin Hood Experience, Derby's Cathedral, and Leicester's National Space Centre.

The American Adventure Theme Park is also only a ten minute drive from Braeside, and Donnington Park Racing Circuit is a short drive south along the M1.
