Spanhoe Lodge offers an excellent standard of accommodation in the village of Laxton, five miles from Uppingham and eight miles from Corby.
Highly acclaimed by the AA and the 'Best Bed&Breakfast Guide', and featured in 'Which Magazine's Top 20 B&Bs', Spanhoe Lodge is convenient for business visitors to Corby, or for those wishing to explore the villages and countryside of East Northamptonshire.
The accommodation is an excellent alternative to larger Corby or Uppingham hotels and is easily accessible from the A1 and A14 roads.
There is ample parking at the lodge and large vehicles such as horse boxes can be easily accommodated.
As Spanhoe Lodge is situated on a World War 2 airfield near Corby, guests can even arrive in their own plane with prior arrangement!
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in a selection of large and comfortable bedrooms, all of which are decorated and furnished to a high standard.
All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped with a television, video player and full hospitality tray.
For guests with wheelchairs, one of the rooms is easily accessible from the parking area via a ramp.
Connecting rooms are also available and are ideal for families, allowing parents and children their own privacy whilst ensuring that children are always close.
A high chair and cot are available.
Food and Drink
Spanhoe Lodge has been awarded an AA 'Egg Cup' Breakfast Award for its outstanding breakfasts, which are served each morning.
Guests can also choose hot and cold snacks from an extensive menu.
Packed lunches are always available for those wishing to explore the area around Corby and Uppingham, or take a day trip to Rutland Water.
A bar and restaurant will soon be added to Spanhoe Lodge.
Guests will be able to enjoy a delicious meal and relaxing drink after a day spent at work or exploring Northamptonshire.

Spanhoe Lodge is situated in the heart of Rockingham Forest, conveniently placed for guests visiting Corby and Uppingham.
Driving Directions
From the A1 road travelling South:
Leave the A1 road at the turn-off for the A43, signposted Corby / Kettering.
Cross over the A47 road and continue on the A43 road until you reach a right-hand turn signposted 'Laxton'.
Travel through the village of Laxton and you will see Spanhoe Lodge roughly half a mile up the hill on the right.
From the A1 road travelling North:
Travelling along the A1 road past Peterborough, take the A47 road signposted towards Leicester [not Wisbech].
Continue west along the A47 road and take the first exit left onto the A43 at the first roundabout, signposted Corby / Kettering.
Cross over the A47 road and continue on the A43 road until you reach a right-hand turn signposted 'Laxton'.
Travel through the village of Laxton and you will see Spanhoe Lodge roughly half a mile up the hill on the right.
From the M1 / M6 motorways:
Travel east along the A14 until you are able to join the A43, signposted Kettering / Corby.
At Kettering, continue along the A43 towards 'Corby East'.
From Corby, continue along the A43 towards Stamford until you reach the left-hand turn to Laxton and Harringworth.
Travel through the village of Laxton and you will see Spanhoe Lodge roughly half a mile up the hill on the right.
Leisure
Northamptonshire is known for its green countryside and traditional villages.
The village of Uppingham is just five miles from the accommodation, and Oundle is eight miles away.
Previously an ancient hunting forest, Rockingham Forest is home to a number of historic houses set in ranging parklands, many of which are easily accessible from Spanhoe Lodge.
Nearby attractions include Rockingham Castle and Rutland Water, offering water sports, rock climbing, fishing, bird watching and a 23 mile long cycling route.
There are also many historic houses nearby, including Althorp, Burghley, Belvoir, Grimthorpe and Lamport Hall.
Rockingham Speedway is also a short distance from the accommodation and often hosts track races on its Indy 500 circuit.
