Waterways Cottage offers an excellent standard of accommodation in the picturesque canal-side village of Stoke Bruerne near Northampton.
With a thatched roof and traditional wooden beams, the cottage is over 300 years old and retains many of its original features - whilst the guest accommodation situated in a separate annexe, is completely renovated and offers modern conveniences.
A number of attractions are within easy reach, including the National Waterways Museum and the Stoke Park Pavilions.
The B&B is also very close to Silverstone, Towcester Racecourse, Althorp House and the whole of Northamptonshire is easily accessed from here. There are countryside views over the gardens and surroundings.
The rates offer great value for such luxurious accommodation, even lower for stays of more than one night - but however long you choose to stay, Kath and Trevor look forward to welcoming you.

Accommodation
All bedrooms at Waterways Cottage have been recently refurbished to provide modern, comfortable B&B accommodation.
There is a choice of rooms available, both have en-suite facilities, and are equipped with a modern flat screen TV, DVD Player, Wireless internet access and tea or coffee making facilities.
Until 31 March: The Green Room has a 'Super King Size' Double Bed (can be made up as two single beds instead) plus a small single bed on request. The facilities include a corner spa bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin.

The well appointed and recently redecorated Damson Studio Suite (available from April onwards) will have a 'Super King Size' Double Bed (can be made up as two single beds instead) plus a single bed on request. Features include a kitchen and dining area and en-suite facilities with corner spa bath, shower over, toilet and wash basin.
Luxurious with a number of modern conveniences and home comforts, the Scarlet Studio Suite (available from April onwards) will have a 'Super King Size' Double Bed (can be made up as two single beds instead) and an optional extra single bed. The room has an open plan layout and features include a kitchen and dining area, plus en-suite facilities with shower, toilet and wash basin.
Food and Drink
Until March, breakfast is served to B&B guests in the dining room each morning and there are a number of options for lunchtime and evening dining in the local area. From April 2012 onwards, in-room light breakfast provisions will be provided (cereals, bread for toast, preserves and more). There are also cafe / restaurants close by that offer cooked breakfast.
The Boat Inn and The Navigation pubs both overlook the Stoke Bruerne locks and serve a variety of drinks, and bar and restaurant meals.
Nearby The Spice of Bruerne a popular restaurant in the local area is serving sublime Indian cuisine.
Costa Coffee is now being served in the Museum Café.
Location
Stoke Bruerne is situated off the A43 road, a short distance from junction 15 of the M1 motorway.
Directions to Waterways Cottage B&B:
Exit the M1 at junction 15 and take the A508 towards Stony Stratford.
Proceed through Roade and take the right-hand turn to Stoke Bruerne - follow the road through Stoke Bruerne and over the Canal Bridge.
The B&B will be directly in front of you - please turn left onto Bakers Lane and park on the driveway at the rear of the accommodation.
Leisure
Situated on the Grand Union Canal, Stoke Bruerne offers visitors a variety of attractions, including The Canal, or National Waterways Museum.
Other attractions close to the B&B include:

Prices
Until 31 March 2012, bed and breakfast from £30 to £35 per person per night double occupancy, or from £53 to £60 per night single occupancy. Additional person in Green Room £10 per night.
From 1 April 2012 rates will depend on number of occupants (up to three per room) and number of nights stayed.
