This self-catering accommodation is located a short stroll from the village in Glenridding on the banks of Ullswater, in the English Lake District.
Helvellyn Cottage is at the end of a terrace of former miners' cottages and overlooks the southern end of the lake.
This is a charming and traditional cottage but it provides modern and comfortable accommodation, with central heating, wood burning stoves, and even a 'power' shower!
The cottage has an elevated position above Glenridding, with views from the garden over Lake Ullswater.
There is also a stunning outlook at the front of the building towards the foothills of Helvellyn.

Accommodation
Helvellyn Cottage can accommodate four people in two bedrooms.
The double room is at the front of the cottage and overlooks the fells.
The smaller bedroom at the rear of the property has 2 single beds.
The open plan lounge and dining room has a large wood-burning stove.
This spacious and comfortable room also has a colour television [with 'Freeview' satellite channels], a video/DVD player, a CD player, and a selection of books, maps and games.
The well equipped kitchen has a modern cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine.
Bathroom facilities include a bath with powerful overhead shower, toilet and wash basin.
There is also a small garden area to the side of the property with stunning views in almost every direction!
Food and Drink
Glenridding-on-Ullswater combines the charm of a small Lakeland village with the amenities needed for a self-catering holiday.
There is a tourist information centre, 2 convenience stores, a newsagent, 3 pubs, 2 hotels, a garage, and even an outdoor equipment shop!
The nearest pub to Helvellyn Cottage is the Travellers Rest Inn, about 500 yards away [just down the hill].
Location
Helvellyn Cottage is located above the village of Glenridding, on the road leading to the old Greenside Mine [now the Helvellyn youth hostel].
Leisure
Casual walkers can choose to take a paddle steamer across the water - this service sails to various points of Lake Ullswater, and offers the perfect way to begin a gentle walk around the shoreline.
Fell walking and hiking is available at Helvellyn, Place Fell, Sheffield Pike and St Sunday Crag - all close to Helvellyn Cottage.
Prices
£295.00 to £495.00 per week, depending on time of year, and the cottage is normally let from Saturday to Saturday.
The rental cost of the property includes bed linen, towels, electricity and heating [including logs for the fire].
Long weekend or short breaks are sometimes available - please ask for details.

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. 
Well behaved dogs are accepted, but must be kept downstairs.
