Basing a holiday here provides access to far more than just the fresh country air - Boscastle is set in the centre of some of the most dramatic coastline in Europe.
There are four properties to choose from, each with high quality furnishings.
Accommodation
Tresquare is the largest of the properties, accommodating up to 8 people, plus a cot.
A very spacious dormer bungalow about 200 yards from the coastal path, Boscastle village and the famous Cobweb Inn.
It is delightfully set in its own private lawned garden, with quiet rural surroundings and beautiful countryside views.
On the ground floor:
- Bedroom 1 - double bed, en-suite facilities
- Well equipped kitchen/dining room
- Spacious dining area with teak sideboard
- Utility room with tumble drier
- Lounge - stone fireplace & French doors to sun lounge
The sun lounge leads to a south-facing patio which is fringed with flowering shrubs. The kitchen has wooden units, ample storage space, built-in double oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and coffee maker.
A solid teak staircase leads to the first floor bedrooms and the main bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, cot and wash basin, whilst bedroom 3 is family-sized, with a double bed and two single beds.
Penrose is an end-terrace, modern cottage situated in a small residential estate close to Forrabury Church, in Boscastle.
Penrose is within easy walking distance of the South-West Coastal Path and offers ideal accommodation for 2 people.
The lounge/dining room has a comfortable sofa and armchair, with patio doors leading to a secluded patio and garden.
Upstairs Penrose has a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom.
Wideacres offers accommodation for 4 or 5 people, plus a cot.
Set in a lawned garden that is a perfect sun-trap, it is a semi-detached bungalow.
Accommodation includes:
- Lounge/dining room - stone fireplace and sea views.
- Bedroom 1 - double with sea views.
- Bedroom 2 - twin with wash basin.
- Fitted kitchen - well equipped.
- Bathroom - instant electric shower over bath.
- Camp bed and cot - available on request.
The Old Dairy can accommodate 2 people, plus a cot [on request].
This character cottage was converted from the old dairy adjoining the owner's farmhouse. Dating from about 1860, it faces onto a large secluded front garden area with a patio.
A beamed ceiling and some exposed stone walls are features of the large lounge/kitchen/dining room.
All of The Old Dairy's rooms are on ground floor level and the bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom has a bath and a shower attachment.
Food and Drink
Each of the properties has a modern fitted kitchen, with equipment that includes electric cooker and microwave, kettle and toaster, fridge and all utensils.
There are shops and supermarkets in the nearby towns and villages.
For evening meals there is a wide choice of menus at local restaurants, at reasonable prices. There are also a number of friendly country pubs serving food.
Location
Tresquare is on the outskirts of the village of Boscastle, and Penrose is in the village.
Wideacres and The Old Dairy are peacefully situated in a country lane, ½ a mile from Hardy's Church and St Juliot, yet only 1¾ miles from Boscastle.
