About a mile from Ware and three miles from Hertford, Wednesday Cottage offers four star self-catering accommodation in Hertfordshire.

The property has countryside views and is east-facing, with a pleasant patio and garden outside. The owners live at Wednesday House next door and have an outdoor swimming pool, which they share [by arrangement] with their guests.

The cottage, with three bedrooms, is ideal for five or six people for holiday lets and short breaks.

The location is in a semi-rural conservation area to the north of London, approximately half-way between London and Cambridge. Plenty of off street parking is available at the property.

From the nearby railway station, a train journey into central London takes around 30 minutes.

The cottage is ideal for families and couples, or for people working in the Hertfordshire area - a 'Broadband' internet connection is available for guests with their own laptop computer.

Looking for a base for a golfing holiday in Hertfordshire or the Home Counties? Wednesday Cottage is only a short drive from a number of fine golf courses and golf clubs, with the local golf club, Hanbury Manor, about one mile away.

The cottage has three bedrooms - bedroom one has a kingsize [5 feet wide] bed. Bedroom two has two single [twin] beds and is accessed off bedroom one. Bedroom three has a single bed with a 'pull out' bed underneath. When the pull out bed is in use the room is very small, this room is downstairs off the living room.

There are countryside views from the windows upstairs.

The compact kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher and a washing machine for clothes.

There is a very comfortable living room, with leather furniture and a large TV with DVD, video and digital channels. A modern 'Dreamcast' games console can be borrowed, with a selection of games available.

Further entertainment is provided for a self-catering holiday, with a selection of toys, games, books and films available.

Guests staying in the self catering accommodation are welcome to come in to the main garden of the house, and supervised children can use the trampoline and the swing set.

Please note that the outdoor swimming pool is quite deep and it is located near to the cottage, so children must be carefully supervised by their parents or guardians at all times.

The holiday home has two bathrooms - bathroom one has a bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin, bathroom two has a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. Please note that both bathrooms are downstairs.

Groceries can be ordered in advance [please ask for details - the lcoal supermarket can deliver when you are due to arrive]. There are three or four pubs nearby [within walking distance] and they all serve good food.

Wednesday Cottage is situated in the county of Hertfordshire, a short distance to the north of London, and about two miles from Ware train station. The M11 motorway can be reached in about 20 minutes by car, and junction 25 of the M25 motorway is only 15 minutes distant.

As well as being close to Ware, Hertford, St Albans and Welwyn Garden City, Wednesday Cottage is about a 30 minute drive from Stansted airport, or 60 minutes from Heathrow. London Gatwick Airport is about an hour and a half away.

£80.00 to £100.00 per night, with a minimum of 3 nights. The exact price depends upon the occupancy, time of year and length of stay - please ask for details.

Many weeks are from £585.00 and short notice may be less.
July / August / Christmas and New Year weeks are £750.00 per week.
Sharing singles are welcome.

Bed linen, towels, tea towels and basic cleaning products are provided. A weekly maid service can be offered at extra cost. There is full independent central heating and 'on-demand' high pressure hot water.
