General Details
Arbuthnot House dates from the early 19th Century and provides first class accommodation in Falkirk.
With a large, secluded garden, this is a relaxing and peaceful place to stay and you are assured of a warm welcome by Anna and Andrew Burnside.
The trees and plants in the garden are a wide variety from all over the world, making sure there is interest in all seasons.

The private driveway that leads to the house has an avenue of 100 year old lime trees.
Car parking is secure and private - well away from the public road.
There is a sitting room for guests to use - which has a colour television with digital channels, a video recorder, books and magazines [many on Scottish themes].
Accommodation
The bedrooms [twin bedded or double/family] have either en-suite or private facilities, with fresh flowers in every room.
Each bedroom has a colour television, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, plus tea and coffee making facilities.
A welcome tray with fresh fruit and biscuits is also provided.
Food and Drink
A full breakfast is provided for guests and home-baked bread is often available.
There are good, moderately-priced restaurants and take-aways right at the end of the drive - you don't need to take the car!
In Falkirk town centre, there is a wide range of cuisines to sample.
Location
Arbuthnot House is a mile to the west of Falkirk. The entrance is marked with a white gate pillar and the driveway is about 200 yards long.
Providing excellent accommodation at lower prices than in Glasgow or Edinburgh, Arbuthnot House has ease of access to both of these cities and other parts of Scotland.

The 2nd Century Roman Wall [Antonine's Wall] is nearby.
Navigation on the 18th and 19th Century canals which run through Falkirk has been restored as a Millennium Project. The unique Millennium Link raises boats between the 2 canals. The Forth and Clyde Canal is only a few minutes' walk from Arbuthnot House.
