Harburn House is a private Georgian Mansion set in beautiful surroundings on a 3000 acre sporting estate - within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh and its International Airport.

The house is always let exclusively, making it a prestigious and luxurious venue for personal or business use.

With one of Scotland's top chefs, Harburn offers you a unique opportunity to sample the services of a first class venue combined with the luxury and privacy of your own private house and estate.

Within the estate there are additional properties. These may be rented on an individual self-catering basis, or to the tenant of Harburn House should extra accommodation be required.

There is a 24 hour service for the convenience of guests.

Harburn Estate has 23 bedrooms accommodating up to 46 guests with further rooms available on request.

All bedrooms are decorated in a style befitting the house, each with its own individual charm.

Harburn is beautifully situated, surrounded by its own parkland, many of the rooms overlook the lakes.

Along with the main house, Harburn Estate features a number of additional properties:

• Gate Lodge
• Haymains

These are either let together with the house, or they can be let as individual properties for self-catering. All are an easy walk or 1 minute drive from Harburn House.

Loch Lodge accommodation includes:

• 1 double bedded (king sized bed) room with en-suite bathroom
• 2 twin bedded rooms with en-suite bathrooms
• 1 twin bedded room with private bathroom opposite
• 1 twin bedded room with private shower room opposite
• Sitting room with open fire
• Fully equipped kitchen

Gate Lodge features:

• 1 small double-bedded room with en-suite shower
• 1 small twin-bedded room with en-suite shower
• 1 single room
• 1 bathroom
• 1 small sitting room with open plan fully equipped kitchenette

Haymains is a lodge with its own garden and has:

• 2 large twin bedded rooms with en-suite facilities
• 1 double bedded room
• 1 twin bedded room
• 1 small single room
• 1 bathroom
• Very large farmhouse kitchen with Aga
• Spacious drawing room with dining alcove

Guests can be met at any of the airports or train stations and there is a helicopter landing area available in the grounds.

There is space for training facilities both indoors and outdoors, along with syndicate rooms.

Up to 50 people can be accommodated for 'boardroom style' or up to 80 people for 'banqueting' or 'theatre' style.

Receptions can be held at Harburn House for up to 150 guests.

The grounds are therefore ideal for a family celebration weekend starting with a candle-lit dinner on the Friday and continuing on until after lunch on Sunday.

Harburn enjoys catering for up to 80 guests in the house and up to 200 in a marquee.

Evening occasions are enhanced by the flood lighting of the house and grounds.

There are a number of very beautiful local churches for those wishing the tradition chuch services. As Harburn can host either religious or humanist ceremonies, many couples decide to get married in the beauty and splendour of Harburn House itself.

'Whether it be for two or two hundred', Harburn's reputation for food and service is unique and is an experience not to be missed.

From barbecues by the lake to candle-lit 4 course dinner in the dining room, the atmosphere and style of Harburn is one of total relaxation.

The estate is easily accessible by road and is a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh.

The excellent motorway network means that you can also reach Harburn from Glasgow in about 45 minutes.

Both Edinburgh and Glasgow have International Airports and are well served with excellent motorway and rail connections to the south and north.

The estate offers a wide range of sporting facilities - game shooting, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, golf, mountain biking, archery and croquet are all available, with instruction if required.

In the evening or on wet days, a selection of leisure entertainment is available, from lectures and demonstrations to a game of snooker on the full-sized table, or even a murder evening or weekend!
