General Details
Ashaig is a comfortable, spacious purpose-built modern bungalow on the Isle of Skye.
This bed and breakfast accommodation has an elevated position, overlooking a sea loch and with superb views across the Minch towards the distant Western Isles.
The Isle of Skye scenery is magnificent and whilst on the island you are never more than five miles from the sea.
There are walks and climbs to suit everyone in the locality and to assist with planning there are several excellent maps and books at Ashaig B&B.
This location has the added bonus of a seascape - stunning sunsets and starlit nights are often a feature of staying here.
Wireless broadband internet access is available for guests with laptop computers to use in their bedrooms.
Accommodation
There are three rooms for guests at Ashaig Bed and Breakfast:

Several restaurants of a high standard are within easy reach, where local produce can be sampled.
The many hotels and restaurants on Skye serve excellent local specialities including freshly caught seafood.
Location
Ashaig is situated on the Kildonan peninsula towards the north end of the island, 44 miles from the Skye bridge and just off the A850 Portree to Dunvegan road.
The ferry terminal at Uig - which links Skye to the Western Isles of Lewis, Harris, and the Uists - is 18 miles away.
Portree is 12 miles away and Dunvegan, with its world famous castle and beautiful coral beach, is only 10 miles away.
The nearest village to Ashaig is Edinbane - two miles along the main road.
Leisure
The main roads on the island are of a good standard but some are single track - which may seem a novelty but require everyone to drive with courtesy and consideration!
The Isle of Skye is larger than most people think - about 60 miles long and made up of several very different peninsulas.
Incredibly due to its 'winged' shape it has a coastline of several hundred miles!!
After a day of exploring relax by the fire in Ashaig's sun-lounge, enjoy the tranquillity and browse through the collection of Skye history and guide books.
Skye is justly famous for its natural beauty and many items of cultural or historical interest - a photographer's and artist's paradise due to the stunning views and unique light effects.
