This B&B is located in Banff and Buchan, often referred to as the 'Forgotten' or 'Hidden' corner of Scotland.
Lonmay Old Manse is a Scottish Tourist Board 5 star Bed and Breakfast offering excellent accommodation and food.
Set in countryside near Fraserburgh, this is a perfect base from which to explore the north east coast of Aberdeenshire.
Within easy reach are:
- Fishing ports and villages [including Fraserburgh, Peterhead, St Combs and Rosehearty]
- Sandy beaches with rolling surf [including Strathbeg Bay, St Combs and New Aberdour Beaches, Fraserburgh Bay and Moray Coast]

The property sits on the site of an even older 'Manse' - a Scottish minister's home, or Rectory - dating back to the 16th century.
The fine drawing room has a large, south-facing bay window and superb marble fireplace, together with an eclectic selection of books to read or music to listen to.
All rooms in the Old Manse are spacious, warm, light and airy, furnished with either antique or fine furniture.
Accommodation
All bedrooms at Lonmay Old Manse are named after local places, comfortable and well equipped.
Each room has:
- Private en-suite facilities
- Colour television
- Radio alarm clock
All bathrooms have a range of toilet accessories, with bath robes and fluffy towels.
On the landing there is a 'service area' for guests, supplying tea and coffee making facilities together with a small fridge and a microwave.
Rattray has a king size double bed. There is an en-suite shower room with large shower, toilet and wash basin. It has extraordinary views across to the Loch of Strathbeg and beyond to the sand dunes near Rattray Head lighthouse, which can be seen blinking in the distance after dusk.
Cairness is the superior room and can be reserved either as a twin or super king size double. In between the bedroom and bathroom there is an area with dressing table and large hanging wardrobe with cupboards. The en-suite bathroom is equally spacious with bath, separate large shower, toilet and wash basin.
Strathbeg is the second double bedded room and enjoys views to both the south and east. The room has a king size double bed with large en-suite bathroom - with bath, toilet and wash basin.
Food and Drink
Visitors are served imaginative breakfasts in the dining room with its cosy wood burning stove and individual tables.
Packed lunches are available by prior request, as are evening meals.
Sample dinner menus are available on request - Vegetarian or special diets can be catered for, and meals with up to four courses can be served to guests by arrangement.
Guests are welcome to bring their own wine to accompany dinner.
Location
Lonmay Old Manse has a perfect location for walkers and cyclists - nearby the network of old railway lines for Banff and Buchan have been converted into paths.
The local towns of Peterhead and Fraserburgh, steeped in fishing history, are within a short drive. A visit to Kinnaird Head lighthouse is a 'must'.
Prices
Bed and Breakfast £32.00 to £40.00 per person per night for double occupancy.
Bed and Breakfast £45.00 to £55.00 per person per night for single occupancy.
Dinner prices vary according to individual requirements - from £20.00 per person.

Drying facilities available for wet or muddy clothes.
