Cross Haven Guest House offers accommodation in one of three guest rooms in the centre of Stranraer, a short walk from Stranraer Castle.
Private and peaceful gardens surround the house, which has recently been refurbished and awarded 3 Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
Ideally situated for exploring the historic buildings of Stranraer, Cross Haven is within walking distance of the train station and ferry port.
The Rhins and Machars of the Galloway countryside are also a short drive from the guest house and offer a taste of some of Scotland's most beautiful countryside.
Accommodation
All rooms at Cross Haven are non-smoking and have en-suite facilities.
There are two double rooms on the first floor, and a twin on the ground floor, which offers access for disabled guests.
All rooms are equipped with a colour television with DVD player, and tea or coffee making facilities.
Food and Drink
Guests can choose from a full cooked breakfast or a selection of fruit segments, cereals, porridge or yoghurt.
The breakfast menu also features fruit juice, toast and preserves, and a selection of teas and coffees.
Breakfast for guests with special diets can be provided by prior arrangement.
A selection of pubs, take-aways and restaurants are within easy walking distance of the guest house, in Stranraer town centre.
Location
Stranraer is the largest town in south west Scotland and is the main port for ferries from Scotland to Ireland.
The town is 85 miles south west of Glasgow along the A77 road, and 96 miles west of Gretna and the A74[M] motorway.
Cross Haven Guest House offers a transfer service to and from Stranraer ferry port, train station and coach station by prior arrangement.

Stranraer is surrounded by the spectacular Galloway countryside, which is warmed by the currents of the gulf stream.
Local attractions include:
