Polcraig Guest House offers family run bed and breakfast accommodation in the small fishing village of Lochinver, on the north west coast of Scotland.
In the centre of Lochinver, the guest house is is ideally situated for relaxing breaks, providing a high standard of accommodation and private car parking.
For guests seeking a more active holiday, the surrounding area offers many climbing, walking and bird watching opportunities.
Wild Brown Trout fishing can be arranged locally, with boats available for hire - Polcraig Guest House also provides deep freeze facilities.
Accommodation
Each room is furnished to provide guests with the highest level of comfort, and is equipped with:

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities - shower, toilet, wash basin and electric shaving point.
There are six bedrooms at the guest house - three double and three twin [twin means two separate single beds].
Food and Drink
Breakfast is prepared and served every morning in the dining room.
Typically, guests can choose from a menu designed to incorporate a variety of local produce, including fresh salmon, smoked haddock, sausage, bacon, eggs and black pudding.
For lunchtime and evening dining, Lochinver offers a small choice of restaurants serving traditional Scottish food, and has a selection of take-away establishments.
Location
Polcraig Guest House is in the centre of Lochinver village, overlooking Loch Inver Bay. The village is 30 miles north of Ullapool.
By road from Ullapool, head north along the A835 to Ledmore junction, before turning left along the A837 [signposted Lochinver]. It is a further 19 miles to Lochinver. On arriving in Lochinver continue along the seafront, then turn right at the Tourist Information Centre. Polcraig Guest House is the large house on the hillside.
Leisure
Lochinver is a small fishing village on the north west coast of Scotland in the West Highlands. The largest settlement on the west coast of Scotland north of Ullapool, Lochinver has the busiest harbour in the Scottish Highlands. The mountain, Suilven, stands to the east of the village.
This mountainous and remote area offers a superb environement for a variety of outdoor pursuits. The dramatic coastline has many sheltered and unspolit bays, some with white sandy beaches, such as Achmelvich, and a climate influenced by the gulf stream. Leisure activities available include:

Polcraig's proprietor has experience of angling, deer stalking, hill walking and even mountain rescue and is always available to offer advice to guests about things to do during a stay in Sutherland.
