Ben Craig Guest House offers family run bed and breakfast accommodation in a traditional Victorian house.
Situated less than three miles south of the centre of Edinburgh, the historic Old Town, and the Scottish Museum the guest house is within walking distance of many more attractions.
During the Edinburgh Festival in August and September many of the performance venues are also a short walk away.
With high ratings from the AA and the Scottish Tourist Board, guests are offered an excellent standard of Scottish hospitality.
There is secure parking to the front and rear of the guest house and a regular bus service runs into the city centre.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in single, double, twin, triple or family rooms, all of which are decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
All rooms are en-suite and have full central heating.
Each room is equipped with:

Food and Drink
Breakfast is served each morning in the conservatory and includes a selection of fruit juices, fruit segments, cereal and porridge, followed by eggs and a variety of cheeses, breads and muffins.
Tea or coffee and toast is also served and a menu can be provided for guests with special dietary requirements.
Location
The guest house is approximately 20 minutes' drive from Edinburgh Airport and 10 minutes' drive from the city centre.
Guests travelling from the south [M6 / A74 / M1] should join the A720 road, which turns into the A720 City Bypass. Leave the bypass at the first junction, marked 'Stration Junction', join the A701 and follow signs for 'City Centre'. After approximately two miles, turn left onto Craigmillar Park and Ben Craig Guest House will be on the right shortly after.
From Glasgow [M8], follow the motorway to its conclusion at the 'Edinburgh Interchange', take the third exit signposted 'Edinburgh South & East' and join the A720 City Bypass. For further instructions, see above.
From Edinburgh Airport, follow the A8 trunk road to the 'Edinburgh Interchange', then follow signs for 'A720 Berwick and South' and continue as above [from Glasgow].
Guests arriving by train should exit from Waverley Station and turn right up on to Princes Street. Cross over to the shops side for buses numbered 3, 31, and 69 or 80 travelling east. After a journey of roughly ten minutes, alight at Craigmillar Park outside the Ben Craig Guest House.
Leisure
Edinburgh is home to a large and varied number of interesting museums, galleries, shops and points of historical interest.
With shops built along one side of the road, the bustling Princes Street has excellent shopping opportunities with uninterrupted views of Edinburgh Castle.
The nearby Royal Museum of Scotland documents the story of human endeavour from the ancient world to space exploration.
The Scotch Whisky Experience and the Camera Obscura/ World of Illusions are just a few more examples of Edinburgh's rich museum culture.
At night, Edinburgh Castle is floodlit, which makes an evening stroll the perfect preview to one of Edinburgh's many concert or theatre productions.
