Ballochruin Barn Bed and Breakfast

On a working farm near Stirling, on the edge of Balfron Station and close to the villages of Killearn and Balfron, this is high quality bed and breakfast accommodation.

Ballochruin Barn offers a choice of B&B [or self catering] accommodation in central Scotland, only a short drive from the centre of Stirling.

Only two miles from the Loch Lomond National Park or the West Highland Way [a well known walking route], the accommodation has excellent views of the magnificent Campsie Fells.

To the south of the farm flows the picturesque River Endrick - but this B&B's peaceful rural location is only an hours drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Guests can enjoy fishing, cycling, walking or hiking in the surrounding area.

Whilst staying at the B&B, some like to join in with the routine care of the alpaca herd that is resident on the farm.

The B&B accommodation at Ballochruin Farm is offered in a newly renovated barn.

The barn has three en-suite bedrooms and a large kitchen, living and dining area.

All rooms can be taken separately, or together for a group, on a bed and breakfast basis [alternatively, on a weekly self-catering basis].

There is heating beneath the natural wood flooring. The accommodation is furnished to a high modern standard throughout.

Up to six B&B guests can stay in the property at any one time. There is one large double bedded room and two large bedrooms that can be used as either double or twin accommodation.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities - one room has a walk-in shower and the other two have a bath and integral shower.

The kitchen is available for the use of all guests by arrangement, and it is well equipped.

There is also a separate laundry room with a washer dryer.

The lounge is furnished with leather sofas and looks out onto a west facing decked area, which benefits from the afternoon and evening sun.

With its plants and garden furniture, the decked area is ideal for outside dining and a barbecue can be provided on request.

Bed and breakfast guests are served breakfast each morning, and dinner is available on request.

For other meals, there is also a variety of pubs and restaurants in the area.

The nearby village of Balfron has an Indian restaurant and the Pirn Inn [a traditional pub]. At Killearn, The Old Mill and the Black Bull offer a variety of food, whilst a little further afield, The Inn in Kippen and Culcreich Castle in Fintry serve delicious meals.
