Built in 1780 for the local Laird, Oatfield House offers four star bed and breakfast accommodation less than 5 minutes from Campbeltown Harbour in a small country estate with wonderful views.
The Grade II Listed Building is surrounded by private estate grounds and, with views of the surrounding countryside and coast, guests can see as far as the islands of Islay and Jura!
The main attractions in Campbeltown are within easy reach of the B&B.
There is also a variety of hiking and walking trails at Beinn Ghuilean, and fishing opportunities on Campbeltown Loch.
The 130 acres of estate gardens surrounding the house are home to an Iron Age Fort, and a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, owl, bats and hedgehogs.

Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in two double bedrooms [one with room for additional fold down beds] and one twin bedroom.
All of the bedrooms have full en-suite facilities and have been recently decorated and furnished for a relaxing, comfortable stay.
In the evenings, guests can relax in the parlour in front of an open fire whilst watching the wide screen digital television.
Broadband internet connections are available at various locations throughout the house.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served to B&B guests each morning in the traditional wood-panelled dining room.

For lunchtime and evening dining, Campeltown offers a selection of restaurants and cafes, all of which are a short drive or taxi journey from Oatfield House.
Location
The main airport on the peninsula is only two miles away from this accommodation, with flights available twice daily from Glasgow International Airport.
Oatfield House B&B is situated just outside of Campbeltown, off the A83 road. Local driving directions:
Follow the A83 road into the centre of Campbeltown and turn right along Main Street, away from Campbeltown Harbour.
Follow this road to the village of Stewarton, then turn left onto the B842 road towards Southend and Mull of Kintyre.
After a mile and a half, you see the B&B sign and a stone gateway flanked by trees on the right-hand side of the road.
Go through this gateway and follow the road to Oatfield House.
Leisure
Campbeltown and the surrounding area offer a variety of attractions in a temperate climate.
Sheltered by the Gulf Stream, the region is sprinkled with palm trees and offers a number of walking opportunities.
Guests can enjoy exploring rolling moorland, cliff-tops, sandy beaches, and visit a selection of nearby islands.
The Machrinhanish Golf Course and Dunaverty Golf Course are within easy reach of the B&B accommodation and offer a good standard of golfing.
Other attractions in or near Campbeltown include Springbank Distillery, The Owl Centre, The Heritage Centre, the Aqualibrium [new swimming pool and sports facility], Mull of Kintyre Seatours and The Wee Picture House, all of which are close to Oatfield House B&B.
