The Inns Over-by Guest House

Known as 'The Guest House by the Loch', The Inns Over-by offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation on the Isle of Islay.

Each room is very comfortable, and named after one of the many species of birds that frequently visit Islay:

• Kittiwake - a Double Room [4 feet 6 inches wide bed] with en-suite bath and shower room. Located on the ground floor at the rear of the property.

• Sandpiper - a Double Room [4 feet 6 inches wide bed] with en-suite shower room. Located on the ground floor with full sea views.

• Oyster Catcher - with a King size double bed [6 feet wide] that can convert into two twin beds. En-suite bath and shower room. Located on the first floor with full sea views. A fully sprung sofa bed converts to offer Family accommodation.

• Heron - with a King size double bed [6 feet wide] that can convert into two twin beds. En-suite bath and shower room. Located on the 1st floor with full sea views.

All bedrooms have private en-suite facilities and offer a hospitality tray with tea and coffee making facilities.

Every guest house room also features thick soft towels, a hairdryer, and a television with satellite channels.

There is a comfortable lounge and conservatory in which guests can relax and unwind, with a wide selection of books and board games.

The Isle of Islay is easily accessible by ferry or aeroplane.

Caledonian Macbrayne operate two hour, twice daily ferry crossings from Kennacraig at the northern end of the Mull of Kintyre. More frequent sailings are available during the summer months.

British Airways flights are available daily, flying from Glasgow International Airport.

Bowmore is easy to reach from the ferry and airport terminals, and the accommodation is located at the end of The Square, adjacent to the harbour.

The Isle of Islay offers a variety of attractions, all of which are within easy reach of the guest house.
