History Of The Bank House, Dornoch
A Grade C Listed Building with Georgian period features, The Bank House was constructed in the late 1800s as the residence of the County Clerk of Sutherland at that time (John Lesley) and his family.
Mr Lesley has a further distinction, because in 1899 he was appointed as the very first Captain at the Royal Dornoch Golf Club (pictured).
The Bank House originally included an integral bank and an office. The property was brought up to modern accommodation standards in the year 2000 by the current owners.
