A warm welcome and a relaxing atmosphere awaits you at this traditionally furnished Scottish Manse, which dates from 1730.
It is an excellent base for a tranquil stay in an elegant country house whilst visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
Highfield House is situated in five acres of grounds which include a tennis court.
There is a comfortable drawing room with open fire where guests may relax and unwind.
Only 15 minutes by car or taxi from Edinburgh Airport - this B&B is ideal for stopovers, with flexible check in times by arrangement.

The three bedrooms each have en-suite facilities or a private bathroom.

Food and Drink
Breakfast is served in the dining room and can be a fully cooked Scottish meal with home-made marmalade, jams and free range eggs, or if preferred, a continental version.
For other meals, there is a wide variety of places to dine within a five mile radius of the house.
These range from a restaurant, in one of Scotland's oldest houses [expensive], to award winning pubs in the nearby villages.
Your hosts will be happy to advise on the best places to try.
Location
Highfield House is on the edge of Kirknewton village, only 10 miles from the centre of Edinburgh.
The railway station is only two minutes walk [Kirknewton on the Central line between Glasgow and Edinburgh] and is most convenient for Edinburgh Airport.
Leisure
Stirling, the Trossachs, St Andrews, the Highlands and Border Country are all within easy reach, making Highfield a good base for touring Scotland.
There are many golf courses nearby, including the Championship course at Dalmahoy. Other activities include ski-ing, riding, sailing and canoeing.
