'Twixt Ben Nevis and Glencoe'.
General Details
Mary and Don invite you to stay at their B&B in the village of Onich, set in the Scottish Highlands countryside 10 miles south of Fort William, with Glencoe and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula within easy reach.
The accommodation is situated very close to the shores of Loch Linnhe and its location is perfect for exploring, touring, activity or adventure holidays in scenic surroundings.
The Old Manse (a manse is a house built for a Scottish minister) was originally designed by Thomas Telford in the 1820s and has been fully refurbished to a very high standard.
As well as providing really comfortable accommodation, peace and quiet, the house and gardens both have stunning views of the loch and there is ample off street parking for vehicles.

There are also several other places to eat in the village, from fresh fish and chips to elegant haute cuisine.
Location
Onich is situated a short distance from famous Ben Nevis and Glencoe. The main road to Onich is the A82, which runs all the way from Glasgow.
The village is about 10 miles south of Fort William (daily train services run from Glasgow to Fort William) and 33 miles north of Oban. Regular services connect Glasgow to the rest of the UK.
Bus services to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oban, Fort William and Inverness also run in this region.
Loch Linnhe, a sea-loch with its southernmost reaches just to the north of Oban, splits into two 'fingers' at Onich, one stretching northwards and the other to the east.
Leisure
This is an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful scenery of the Scottish Highlands. From Onich you can take day trips to Mull, Oban, Inveraray, the Isle of Skye or even Loch Ness. Visit castles, whisky distilleries, lochs and mountains (all within a short travelling distance).
Several golf courses nearby, along with a great variety of other visitor attractions and activities including hill and forest walking; climbing and mountain biking; fishing (sea, loch and river); sailing, boating and windsurfing; riding and pony trekking.
The West Highlands are renowned for their outstanding natural beauty and Onich lies right in the heart of the region.
The peace and quiet of this location is perhaps at its best at dusk, as the colours of the sunset reflect upon the waters of Loch Linnhe.
