Stuart and Lynda Ritchie invite you to stay with them in their family home, situated on the west side of the city of Edinburgh.

Ingleneuk is rated by the Scottish Tourist Board as a 3 Star Bed and Breakfast.

Both bedrooms (one family room, one double), are on ground floor level, have en-suite facilities and a private entrance, and there is ample off-street parking.

The spacious and comfortable accommodation is ideal for a business trip or a leisure break in Edinburgh, or if you are arriving or departing from Edinburgh International Airport.

Ingleneuk Bed and Breakfast is also the perfect base from which to discover the delights of the Scottish capital or for day trips to the countryside of the Lothian region, or Fife to the north (the Queensferry Road to the Forth Bridge is just around the corner).

Ingleneuk Guest House Edinburgh - Conservatory

If you are a couple, a small family or a single traveller looking for a real home from home when visiting Edinburgh, you have found it! The Double Room at Ingleneuk even has its own private conservatory!

With en-suite facilities (shower, toilet and wash basin) the double room has a double and a single bed. The private entrance is to the rear of the house from the attractive gardens, into a conservatory providing a comfortable seating area and dining table.

The Double Room is well equipped with television, fridge, hairdryer and facilities for ironing and making a cup of tea or coffee.

Food and Drink

Breakfast is served each morning to your bedroom, with a view of the gardens (regularly visited by squirrels and birds) from the dining table.

Freshly squeezed orange or apple juice can be accompanied by a choice from a selection of cereals or yoghurt to start with, then followed by cooked options. These include a traditional 'fry up' or a cheese omelette.

The typical service time for breakfast at Ingleneuk is between 8am and 9am, but guests with an earlier departure time can request cereals, bread, cheese and ham - a 'Continental Style' start to the day.

For other meals, both the local area and Edinburgh city centre provide numerous dining options, including cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs serving food.

Location

Fife and the north of Scotland can be reached via the nearby Forth Bridge, St Andrews being about an hour's drive away.

There are several bus routes into the city centre and direct to Waverley train station.

Leisure

Edinburgh's Famous Princes Street Gardens

Ingleneuk's landscaped garden contains a small bridge and a pond, attracting a variety of wildlife, despite being so close to Scotland's busy capital. The gardens are often commented upon by guests who stay at the bed and breakfast.

Edinburgh is a particuarly vibrant city during the month of August, when the International and Fringe Festival is staged.  The entertainments include hundreds of shows to choose from - ensuring that there is something to interest everyone.

The Dynamic Earth attraction takes you back to the beginning of time and has been voted one of the best new visitor attractions to come to Edinburgh in recent years.

The Royal Yacht Britannia is now permanently anchored in Leith and provides a chance to see how the Royal Family once travelled around the world.

Edinburgh Skyline

Edinburgh Castle dominates the city centre and each day at 13:00 the great gun (Mons Meg) is fired from the Esplanade.

Further afield to the east are the coastal towns of North Berwick and Gullane, famous for their many golf courses.  Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument are also within one hour's drive.
