Birch Cottage

Situated in Ross-shire, in the Highlands of Scotland amongst some breathtaking scenery, Birch Cottage is an ideal base for walking, fishing, touring or just relaxing.

The B&B accommodation is in traditional adjoining cottages, extensively modernised and refurbished.

There is a patio and a garden with lovely views across the mountains.

The centre of Garve village is a 5 minute walk away.

In the heart of Ross-shire, this is a Scottish Tourist Board 3 Star Bed and Breakfast.

Each bedroom provides a very high standard of accommodation, with:

Single, double, twin and family occupancy can be accommodated. Ground floor annexe rooms are available, which prove to be very popular with guests.

Evening meals are available daily, by arrangement and vegetarian diets can be catered for on request.

Birch Cottage is on the A835 road, 22 miles north west of Inverness and 35 miles south east of Ullapool.

Garve railway station is only 100 metres away - all trains on the 'Kyle Line' [Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh] stop at Garve.

Leave the car at Birch Cottage and take the wonderful train ride to the Kyle of Lochalsh where you can take a bus to the Isle of Skye.

Some of the scenery on the way is quite breathtaking and because the train does not speed along there is plenty of time to enjoy the views.

Alternatively there is easy access, by car or train, to Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands.
