General Details
Just outside the village of Kilmelford on the west coast of Scotland, this is an ideal base for touring in Argyll, or for a short break.
Glenmore is a short distance to the south of Oban and is set in its own grounds, with magnificent views over Loch Melfort.
The house was originally constructed in 1854 and enlarged in 1935, with many interesting architectural features.
The main rooms are spacious and elegant, individually decorated and furnished with antiques, pictures and ornaments.
The entrance hall is panelled with red pine and there are carved figures on the bannisters.
Throughout the house natural wood is retained as a feature, adding to the feeling of warmth and comfort.
