The Victorian Town House is situated in an elegant crescent within the west end of Edinburgh, designated as a World Heritage Site.
Only a short walk from the world renowned Princes Street, this Edinburgh bed and breakfast accommodation is spacious and luxurious.
The property was once the home of David Alan Stevenson, one of the famous family of lighthouse engineers and cousin to the author Robert Louis Stevenson.
David's daughter Dorothy Emily Stevenson was educated in this house and went on to become a renowned authoress.
Today 14A Eglinton Crescent is owned and run as a high quality B&B by Aileen Reeves. Guests have a key to their own private entrance and access to a secluded walled garden.

Accommodation
Bedrooms are individually decorated and each is furnished to a very high standard.
The 'Caledonian Room' and the 'Colonial Room' have king-size double beds and large, en-suite bathrooms [with shower, toilet and hand basin].
The 'Colonial Rooms' bed can be split to make comfy twin beds.
The Caledonian Room has a Scottish theme with tartan and pictures of Edinburgh on the walls, whilst the Colonial Room has African decor.
The 'Oriental Room' has Chinese and Thai influences in its decoration. It has twin single beds and private en-suite facilities [with shower, toilet and hand basin].
All rooms provide spacious accommodation, with a comfortable sofa and television with digital channels.
Other features in every room include complimentary toiletries, a radio alarm clock and a hairdryer.
There is also a hospitality tray in each bedroom, with a dram of whisky, biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities.
Food and Drink
A full Scottish breakfast is served in the breakfast room each morning, with a side-buffet of pastries, oatcakes and home-made scones.
For other meals, there is a large choice of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars, all within close walking distance.
Location
The Victorian Town House is in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town and only a short walk from the city centre.
Places within easy walking distance include the shops and gardens on Princes Street, the Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Murrayfield Stadium and Haymarket Railway Station.
