Wellsfield Farm Holiday Lodges

This self-catering accommodation is perfectly located, set in a completely private area within a working farm, in the heart of central Scotland.

There are 4 luxurious, modern lodges of Scandinavian design, each sleeping up to 4 people, and awarded a 4 Star rating by the Scottish Tourist Board.

Within the 220 acres of grounds there is a modern Health Club and a number of leisure activities - including a Trout Fishery for angling and an Equestrian Centre for horse riding - with many more attractions nearby.

Available individually or as a group, for any number of nights, the magnificent holiday lodges are ideal for tourist stays, short holidays, functions and private or business lets.

Each lodge sleeps up to 4 people and has a verandah with furniture.

Lodges have their own lawned garden, with a picnic and barbecue area, a drying area with 'whirly' drier, and security lighting outside.

The lodge interiors consist of 2 bedrooms [1 double, 1 twin] and are extremely warm and cosy, with electric central heating and double-glazing throughout.

The shower rooms are equipped with towels with toiletries.

All rooms are interior decorated and have natural laminated flooring.

The spacious open-plan lounges have colour television and comfortable seating for the whole family or group.

The fully-fitted kitchens have a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob. They are well-equipped with electrical items, including an iron.

These spacious rooms also have a dining area, with a wooden table and chairs.

Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk is provided for all guests.

A free 'Scottish welcome pack' is available to those staying 1 week or more - this includes:

• Fresh milk from a local dairy
• Scottish oatcakes, cheese and shortbread
• Crusty rolls, butter, Scottish marmalade
• Wine and truffles!

Welcome packs can be purchased for guests on shorter stays and breakfast packs are also available.

The lodge complex is only minutes away from a host of great restaurants, public bars and shops.

Wellsfield Farm Holiday Lodges are 2 miles south of the Stirling motorway services on the A872 Stirling to Stirling Road.

Edinburgh and Glasgow airports are within an hours drive, whilst Stirling and Falkirk bus and railway stations are nearby.

As well as the Health Club, Trout Fishery and Equestrian Centre, the Wellsfield complex offers a 6km mountain biking course, cross country jogging, horse and pony riding lessons and 3 miles of walkways.

There are hundreds of acres of Scottish countryside to explore, along with an abundance of wildlife and nature, plus spectacular views of the Ochil Hills.

Horse riding [expert riding tuition], pony rides, cross country hacking and equestrian livery services are available. Guests can bring their own horses or use the farm's trekking ponies.

Children can be left under the safety and guidance of experienced instructors whilst other members of the family may wish to enjoy the endless tourist attractions in the local area.

Central Scotlands historical attractions include Royal Stirling and Edinburgh Castles, the National Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Heritage Centre.

Blair Drummond Safari Park is only 12 miles away but closer still, the working farm attractions include animals and tours, which are safe and great fun for kids.

The area has excellent walks, nature and wildlife trails, plus sports, leisure and other entertainments nearby.

Hill-walkers may wish to walk over the 16 Munros all within 1 hour's drive of the lodges.

Fishing for salmon, brown or rainbow trout is available at the 10 local fisheries or on the dozens of lochs and rivers close by.

Golfers may wish to play on any of the 20 courses in the area.

Spectator sports - use the lodges as a base for the rugby at Murrayfield or the football at Hampden.

Birdwatchers may wish to visit the 10 RSPB reserves or travel north an hour or so to see golden eagles, ospreys, peregrines, capercaillie or ptarmigan.

The visitor information library at Wellsfield Farm includes information on tourist and leisure attractions in the region, banks, pharmacies, health clinics, post offices, police and places of worship.

Clothes horse, clothes pegs, washing up liquid, cleaning fluids and equipment, kitchen roll, tin foil and cling film, shoe-shine, clothes brush, sewing kit, pedal bin liners and dustbin bags, candles and first aid kit are all provided.

All beds are made up for your arrival and bed linen includes non-allergenic duvets.
