Set in the Scottish Highlands surrounded by countryside, Allison House is within easy reach of the shops and restaurants.

A short drive from the town of Tain, in Ross-shire, the holiday cottage is a beautiful house with four bedrooms - spacious accommodation for up to seven people.

The enclosed rear garden and grounds of the property offer ample parking for guests' vehicles.

The ground floor entrance hall leads to all downstairs rooms:

• Dining room with table and chairs
• Games room with table tennis table and board games
• Fully fitted kitchen
• Shower room with large shower

The games room also has a television, table and benches.

Kitchen equipment includes an electric cooker with four ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

A further hallway to the rear of the cottage provides access to:

• Main bathroom with new bathroom suite, bath, toilet and wash basin
• 1st bedroom - twin beds [two single beds]
• 2nd bedroom - single bed
• 3rd bedroom - adult sized bunk beds, double underneath a single

A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor, opening out onto a spacious 30ft lounge.

With French windows overlooking farm land, the lounge has a television with 'Freeview' channels and a DVD player.

Also on first floor level, the Master bedroom has a four poster double bed, a large walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin.

There is a post office and butcher's shop next door to the property, a restaurant 500 yards away, and a garage [petrol station with small shop] at the end of the village. Further amenities including shops, restaurants and cafes are provided at nearby Tain, and at Dornoch, which is a short drive from Allison House.

This holiday accommodation is located in Ross-shire, just off the B9165 countryside road from Tain to Balintore and Portmahomack. Tain is about seven miles away from the property, to the north west.

There are Ross-shire countryside views from both the front and rear of this property.

A number of country walks can be enjoyed in the immediate locality, as can fishing - with fishing boats available for hire. The Ross-shire coast is a popular place for Dolphin and whale watching, on land or at sea.

Beaches are four miles away, at Balintore and Hilton, or seven miles away at Portmahomack.

Tain has a play park for children and an excellent golf course.
