This lovely period cottage was built in around 1901 and retains many original features.
It is an ideal base from which to visit the Scottish Highlands, Ross-shire and the Black Isle.
Set in the heart of Strathpeffer, The Cottage is a holiday property offering guests every modern comfort.
High hedges border the long garden to the front and side of the property to ensure privacy.
Accommodation
Inside The Cottage there is a sun lounge furnished with high quality cane furniture.
The sun lounge leads to the spacious sitting/dining room - with three piece suite, dining table and chairs, colour television and video recorder.
There are two bedrooms - one twin and one double. An additional chair bed and a cot are available for the use of children.
The bathroom has a modern suite with shower attachment over the bath. The well equipped kitchen comprises electric cooker, microwave oven, pine dining table and four chairs. The utility room houses the washer/dryer and fridge/freezer.
Food and Drink
There are ample shops from which to buy your groceries in the locality. Enjoy a barbecue in the garden of The Cottage or try one of the many reasonably priced places to eat within walking distance.
Location
The Cottage is set in the centre of Strathpeffer, which is just 20 miles [30 minutes by car] north-west of Inverness, the Highland capital.
This location is about an hour away from the Isle of Skye and just 40 minutes from Loch Ness.
Leisure
There are many rivers, lochs and waterfalls to discover nearby and Strathpeffer is close to the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle regions.
This beautiful Victorian spa village offers something for everyone - enjoy the local walks, a game of golf or hire a mountain bike from the shop in The Square.
Fishing and shooting are available in the area and hill walkers can tackle the many Munros in the Northern Highlands.
Strathpeffer is centrally located for touring by car - visit the whole of the Highland area and you can still be back at The Cottage in time for dinner!
Prices
£300.00 per week in low season [April (excluding Easter), May, September, October].
£340.00 per week in high season [Easter, June, July, August].
Included in the rental price:
- Full oil-fired central heating, which also heats the water
- Bed linen, duvets and pillows
Additional charge of 10p per unit for electricity.
