Beinn Eighe enjoys a peaceful, beautiful location in the coastal hamlet of Ormiscaig, close to the village of Aultbea.
The cottage is set in magnificent Wester Ross, only 500 metres from the shores of Loch Ewe.
Overlooking the Torridon mountains, Beinn Eighe has breathtaking panoramic views across what many consider to be the most majestic scenery in all of Scotland.
The world famous Inverewe Gardens are only 6 miles away in Poolewe, where there is also a swimming pool.
Accommodation
Beinn Eighe Cottages accommodates up to 5 adults in comfort.
It has 3 bedrooms, each with a built-in wardrobe:
- 1 double bedded room with vanity unit
- 1 twin bedded room with vanity unit
- 1 single bedded room
The bathroom has a bath and shower, toilet and hand basin.
The lounge, dining area and kitchen have an open plan 'L-shaped' design.
Well equipped throughout, the cottage has a colour television, video, radio/CD/cassette and pay-phone.
A cot and high chair are also available by arrangement.
The fully fitted kitchen features:
- Electric cooker with hob
- Microwave
- Fridge-freezer
- Washing machine with tumble dryer combined
Heating is by night storage heaters and a coal-effect fire in the lounge.
Outside there is a fenced garden and parking for 2 cars.
Food and Drink
The nearby village [Aultbea] has a general store, butcher's shop, post office, woodcraft shop, a café, public transport and 2 hotels. The nearest supermarket is in Ullapool, 45 miles away.
The normal route to Aultbea is via Inverness, where there are a number of large supermarkets, including 1 with 24-hour opening. Many visitors stock up with essentials on their way through Inverness.
Location
As a base for touring this location is outstanding - with Loch Maree, Torridon, Shieldaig, Applecross, Lochcarron, Kyle of Lochalsh, Isle of Skye and Ullapool all within easy reach.

Leisure
In Gairloch there is a 9-hole golf course, a beach, boating and other water sport facilities, a museum, shops, cafés and a number of hotels.
The spectacular scenery, dramatic North West Coast and mountains make this area a must for photographers of all standards. A list of sites of special photographic interest, within daily reach of the cottage, is available on request.
River, loch and sea fishing are popular sports, and the region abounds with rugged mountain peaks at Dundonnell and Torridon, which offer excellent opportunities to both the hill walker and serious climber.
A wealth of wildlife and flora/fauna offer wonderful viewing for observers.
Prices
£200.00 to £380.00 per week.
Electricity and bed linen are included, but not towels.
Arrival time is 16:00 [earliest] and departure time is before 10:00.
