Aros Cottage, Gairloch Accomodation

All Cottages have a TV and a selection of books, with bed linen provided on request. Electricity is supplied by way of a £1 coin meter, at below cost price.

Aros Cottage - in Badachro Bay, accommodation for up to 4 people. Furnished with antiques in the traditional Scottish Highland style, overlooking the bays of Badachro and Gairloch. Large kitchen / dining room with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. Living room with open fire, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (1 with king-size orthopaedic bed and 1 with a Scotch double and a single bed. Storage heaters throughout and parking available on land adjacent to the cottage.

Rona and Canna in Gairloch, Ross-shire - Holiday Villas Near The Sea

Rona and Canna offer accommodation for 4-6 people and are two villa style flats, each with a private entrance. Each has: - Kitchen / dining room with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. Living room. Bathroom. Rona has 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom. These holiday homes are set in half an acre of woodland. Canna (on first floor level) has 2 bedrooms. Parking is available on land adjacent to the flats.

Gairloch Bay - Road Map of Ross-shire

Badachro is a picturesque old fishing community by the coast in North West Scotland (in a sheltered corner of the sea loch, Gairloch. The nearby village of Gairloch and the immediate locality provide a number of shops, including a general store and butcher. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and take-aways.

For a truly fresh taste of Scotland, local fish and shellfish are available from the village fish shop.

Gairloch is situated in Wester Ross, west of Loch Maree, and it is really a small town with the traditional West Highland character. The accommodation is easily accessible via the A832 road (from the east) or the A890 (from the south). From Kinlochewe, go through scenic Talladale, past Kerrysdale (3 miles before you reach Gairloch), then turn left into the Red Point Road for 2 miles to find the villages of Badachro and South Erradale. More detailed directions can be provided on request.

Visit attractions such as the award-winning Gairloch Heritage Museum, a fascinating museum of local life situated in a complex of old farm buildings. Tackle the challenge of the local 9 hole golf course or peruse the craft shops nearby. Take a sea life tour or a sea fishing trip out of the harbour, where there is also a small marine life centre. Activities are available for both wet and dry weather.

For keen walkers, there is a selection of trails which pass through the Flowerdale Forest and waterfalls, or near the Rua Reidh lighthouse (approximately 12 miles from Gairloch), where rock climbing courses are available.

As well as some of Scotland's best rock climbing areas, try your hand at abseiling, pony-trekking and watersports - all available in the surrounding area.
