These holiday cottages have a secluded setting in scenic Scottish countryside, very close to the village of Poolewe in Ross-shire.
There are many well known places and Wester Ross attractions nearby including the famous Inverewe Tropical Gardens - within walking distance.
Guests at Croft Cottages can also walk along the banks of the River Ewe, Loch Ewe and Loch Maree, or visit the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve, the Torridon Nature Reserve or the sandy beaches in and around Gairloch.
All properties have views of the mountains above Loch Maree and are perfect for climbers, walkers or anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.
The cottages are full of character, built of original stone, have been carefully restored and have good quality furnishings [with some antiques].
Accommodation
Number 15A and number 15B Croft are in a very pleasant location within the 5 acres of countryside.
Guests can explore the gardens, woodlands or enjoy take a walk along the riverbank.
The excellent views make these 2 cottages particularly popular with photographers and artists.
15A and 15B each have 1 double and 1 twin bedded room, with the bedrooms at number 15B accessed by a steep staircase.

Forglen Cottage is at number 8 Croft, half a mile from Poolewe.

A staircase leads to the upper floor which is one large room - with one double and three single beds, a built-out window and two velux [or 'skylight' windows].
Forglen Cottage can therefore accommodate a large group or family, up to nine people in total.
The kitchen in each of the three properties is equipped with an electric cooker/grill, a microwave oven, a fridge and an automatic washer/dryer.
Food and Drink
Although this area is quite remote, the village of Poolewe has some shops [closed on Sunday] and a choice of places serving food, including local pubs and hotels. Other amenities include a post office [with public telephone] and a heated swimming pool. Gairloch and Ullapool are within easy driving distance and provide further shops, pubs and hotels serving food.
Location
Poolewe is an excellent base from which to tour Ross-shire and the Northern Highlands by car.
A short distance to the north lies the picturesque fishing village and port of Ullapool, with ferry services to Stornoway.
