This West Highland cottage is situated on the shores of Loch Long, which laps the garden wall at high tide.
With views across Loch Long and Loch Alsh to the Isle of Skye and the Cullin Hills, the holiday cottage is in the village of Dornie.
Tigh-Na-Mara can accommodate up to 6 people and is a very comfortable rental property.
With all accommodation decorated and furnished to the highest standards, this is a real family home.
Dornie is an excellent and picturesque base from which to see the Western Highlands and Isle of Skye.
The romantic Eilean Donan Castle is within walking distance of Tigh-Na-Mara Cottage - sunsets here are often unforgettable.
Accommodation
On ground floor level of the holiday cottage:
The kitchen/dining room is fitted with an oil-fired stove and an electric cooker for use in the summer. There is a microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator.
In the cottage's utility room there is an additional deep freeze/refrigerator and a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The kitchen looks out onto the well kept garden at the rear of the property with borders, a lawn and rhododendrons.
The sitting room has an open fire and comfortably seats 6 people - with 4 easy chairs and a sofa.
In the sitting room there is a colour television, radio, playing cards and a good supply of games. In the desk there are maps of the area and of the Isle of Skye and there is a very good selection of books in the bookcase.
An additional front room provides another colour television, plus dining table and chairs.
The ground floor bedroom is at the back of the cottage - it has 2 single beds plus a shower and toilet next door.
On the first floor of the holiday cottage:
There are 2 further bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
The main bedroom has a double bed and wash basin and the other bedroom in the cottage has 2 single beds.
Both bedrooms have excellent views of Loch Long to the Isle of Skye.
Gardens and outside the holiday cottage:
There is a small garden immediately in front of the cottage and a larger garden to the rear.
On the other side of the road, opposite the front door, a small garden on the water's edge has additional lawns and a seat.
Food and Drink
The village shop in Dornie is only 100 yards away and is very well stocked.
Location
Dornie is easy to reach from both Inverness and Fort William - it is located on the A87 Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh road.
There is a railway station at Kyle of Lochalsh, with service connections to Inverness.
For visitors wanting to explore the Isle of Skye, the 'Skye Bridge' is only 10 miles away from Tigh-Na-Mara holiday cottage.
Alternatively, there is a seasonal ferry crossing from Glenelg on the mainland, to Kylerhea on the Isle of Skye.
Prices
£475.00 per week during high season, £400.00 per week during low season.

Smoking is not permitted in cottage bedrooms. 
There is space for one car beside the house and further parking is available 50 yards away.
