Located in the quiet crofting community of Melvaig, near Gairloch, Rona and Raasay are a pair of brand new holiday cottages.
Both properties are detached bungalows and each offers modern accommodation only 80 yards from the seashore with private beach access.
The cottages overlook the sea - with views of Skye, Harris and Lewis.
The Beinn Eighe Reserve and the Torridon Mountains are only a short distance away and within easy reach for a day trip.
The cottages provide accommodation for up to four people, in two bedrooms. A cot for a baby is available on request.
Each cottage has been awarded 4 stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
Accommodation
Rona and Raasay Cottages both offer ground floor holiday accommodation throughout. Each property has access by ramps, and wide doorways for wheelchairs.
Comfortable and beautifully furnished, Rona and Raasay feature an 'L-shaped' lounge/ dining room with picture windows.
From the floor to the ceiling, these windows offer magnificent views over the ocean to the islands of Skye, Harris and Lewis.
The lounge areas are well equipped, with an electric fire, two large settees, colour television, video / DVD player, and radio / cassette / CD player.
The television has access to satellite channels [Sky Freeview Satellite TV].
In both cottages, the first of the two bedrooms has a double bed and fitted wardrobes.
The other bedroom in each property has twin beds [two matching single beds] and fitted wardrobes.
Bathroom facilities in Rona and Raasay include a bath, separate walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin.
Food and Drink
The fully fitted modern kitchens in these holiday homes have an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, toaster, and kettle.
Other equipment includes a food mixer, coffee maker, and a good range of cooking utensils. A rear porch offers hanging space for outdoor clothes.
Melvaig has a cafe bar/restaurant.
Location
Gairloch is approximately 20 minutes drive away, with hotels, restaurants, shops, a garage, a doctors surgery, and a dental surgery.
Leisure
Attractions in Wester Ross include whale watching and marine trips by boat, including visits to the puffin colonies on the Shiant islands.
Guided hill walks, guided climbing and fishing trips [salmon, sea trout, brown trout, pike and sea fishing] are available locally by prior arrangement.

Prices
£125.00 to £425.00 per week, Saturday to Saturday - deposit and retainer requested on booking.
Sheets, pillow cases, bath and hand towels, and tea towels, can be provided at an extra charge.
Electricity is metered and the amount due is deducted from retainer [meter read on arrival and departure].
A deposit of £100.00 per week is requested in advance together with a retainer of £40.00 with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to commencement of holiday.

Double glazing throughout, and heating by oil fired central heating.
Well behaved pets accepted by arrangement.
