Panholes Luxury Cottages offer self-catering accommodation just outside the village of Blackford, less than four miles from the centre of Auchterarder and three miles from Gleneagles.
This converted 200 year old barn is divided into two luxury cottages that can accommodate up to 12 people and there is a large gravelled parking area in front of each cottage.
Surrounded by beautiful Scottish farmland, hills, rivers and mountains, the cottages provide an excellent escape from hectic life.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are both within easy reach of the cottages, and the area offers many other leisure activities, including fishing, walking and wildlife watching.
For keen golfers, Gleneagles and St Andrews golf courses are also a short distance from the cottages.
The owners live in the farmhouse and are available to supply any information or assistance that you may need to ensure you have a relaxing and happy holiday in Scotland.
Accommodation
Accommodation is offered in one of two luxury cottages - The Barn Cottage and The Roundhouse.
The cottages can be rented separately or joined to form a large holiday home for up to 12 people.
Each cottage is furnished with leather sofas and easy chairs, handmade solid wood tables and bookcases and a stone fireplace.
The walls are even decorated with fine watercolour paintings by Janet Johnston, a world renowned artist.
The tiled porches and wooden flooring that runs throughout each cottage provides a light and spacious atmosphere, and all windows offer beautiful views of the Perthshire countryside.
Each lounge area is equipped with a television, DVD player and music system, and a selection of books, maps and games.
Binoculars are also provided.
Barn Cottage
Barn Cottage offers accommodation for four people in one double and one twin room.
Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a deep, wood-lined bath, separate corner shower cabinet, toilet, wash basin and heated towel rails.
There is a large kitchen / dining room and guests can appreciate views of the surrounding Scottish countryside whilst snuggling next to the electric living flame stove in the the separate cozy sitting room.
The Roundhouse
The Roundhouse can accommodate up to eight people in two double rooms, one twin room, and one room with bunkbeds.
One double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with toilet and wash basin, and the main bathroom has a corner bath, separate shower, toilet and wash basin.
There is a large open plan kitchen / dining area, and guests can relax in the unique round lounge, which has beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace fitted with a living flame stove.
Both cottages also have a fully-equipped utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier, and towels, bathrobes, linen and complimentary toiletries are supplied for each guest.
Each kitchen is equipped with:

- Microwave
- Dishwasher
- Fridge / freezer
The paddock to the front of the cottages has been landscaped with tables and chairs that can be used for outside dining.
Food and Drink
The village of Blackford is less than one mile from the cottages and has a post office and general store for basic self-catering supplies.
Blackford also has a hotel and a pub, both of which serve food throughout the day.
Auchterarder is just 10 minutes from the cottages and offers a wider selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops.
Location
Panholes cottages are located in central Scotland, less than one mile from the centre of Blackford and less than four miles from Auchterarder along the A9 road.
Situated close to the main A9 road that links to the M9 motorway in southern Scotland and runs the length of Scotland to Thurso in the north, the cottages are easily accessible from all areas of Scotland and England.
Guests travelling from the south should continue onto the A9 road from the M9 motorway and should join the B8081 road to Blackford just before Gleneagles.
Guests travelling from the north should also join the B8081 road to Blackford, just after Gleneagles.
Leisure
The Auchterarder area that surrounds the cottages provides a haven for wildlife and offers many walking, rambling and mountain biking trails through the Perthshire countryside.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park are also a short drive from the cottages and offer spectacular Scottish scenery, good walking trails and a variety of water sports.
Gleneagles golf course is just three miles away and numerous other golf courses are also within easy reach.
Fishing can be enjoyed at the nearby Orchil Loch Trout Fishery and other nearby places of interest include Blair Drummond Safari Park, Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder and Drummond Trout Fishery.
Deep Sea World and the Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre are also within easy reach of the cottages and provide a great day out for guests of any age.

Per cottage per week [depending on season]:
- The Barn - £430.00 to £670.00
- The Roundhouse - £595.00 to £955.00
All prices include towels, linen, electricity and oil.

This is totally non smoking Auchterarder Cottage accommodation. 
Ample off street parking for vehicles.
