Tremallt Bed and Breakfast

This bed and breakfast accommodation in Carno offers great value for money and an excellent location.

Carno is a small village in Powys, Central Wales and ideal as a base for a walking holiday in Wales, or for bird watching, cycling and fishing.

Tremallt is run by Penny and Gordon Pearce - their B&B is easy to find, just off the A470 road in-between Newtown and Machynlleth.

The house was built in Victorian times as a manse [minister's home] for the local Methodist Chapel.

The gardens of the property include a decked seating area and a large lawn.

The B&B has also been awarded a 3 Star grading from the Wales Tourist Board and a 3 Star grading from the AA.

Tremallt has 2 double bedded rooms - each with private en-suite facilities, and 1 twin bedded room, also en-suite and on the ground floor.

All bedrooms have a colour television and hairdryer, plus tea and coffee making facilities.

A choice of breakfast is served to guests each morning.

The dining room has views of the gardens and surrounding countryside.

By special request, an evening meal can be provided - please arrange this in advance if required.

Tremallt offers a good touring base for your Welsh holiday - Carno is located right in the middle of Wales.

The Snowdonia National Park is only 17 miles from the village and the market towns of Llanidloes, Newtown, Welshpool and Machynlleth are all within 30 minutes drive.

Local leisure activities and facilities can be pre-booked in advance - please ask Tremallt for details.

As well as bird watching, walking and fly fishing, you can enjoy pony trekking, quad biking, off road karting and even car rallying at the nearby rally school.

There are several light railways in the area and many other attractions.

Single occupancy £30.00 per night.
Much reduced prices for children sharing parents' room.

Closed at Christmas.

Although our running costs have inevitably risen, like those for just about everything else, we at Tremallt have decided to buck the trend, and prices will remain unaltered for at least two more months (until November). In addition, any bookings made for 2009, and pre-paid in 2008 at least one month in advance, will be charged at the current 2008 rates.

This is a totally non-smoking establishment.
